Vik Stone is a barista at the Equal Exchange Espresso Bar in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The café opened in 2007 and is the first Equal Exchange café. In February 2008, the worker-owners at Equal Exchange voted to approve opening more Equal Exchange cafés - which means more opportunities for bringing quality coffee from small-scale farmers directly to consumers.
