What difference does a pyramid bag make?
Just like with coffee, there are many factors that go into making a good cup of tea. Our pyramid shaped bags affect quality by changing two factors: (1) leaf size and (2) extraction.
Leaf Size: Starting with whole or large tea leaves is very important in making a good cup of tea. Up until now, the only real option for this has been to purchase loose tea and steep using a teapot, strainer, or tea ball. Standard tea bags don’t help because their small, flat shape can only accommodate the smallest grades of tea (“fannings” and “dust”). The shape of the pyramid bags creates a chamber that can accommodate the largest grades of tea.
Extraction: Large tea leaves need space to fully unfurl so that flavors can properly extract into water. The pyramid chamber provides this space. Also, the mesh material allows for much better water flow than standard paper bags.
Are any caffeine-free?
The Wild Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free.
Where can I purchase the pyramid teas?
On our Retail Web store, Interfaith Web store or look for them at your local co-op or health food store.
